These items Encourage Kids/Youth & their LEADERS (Homeschoolers, Children/Youth Ministry, Parents, you name it....) to be"FIRED UP" for Jesus.
We hope to expand on this list and book reviews & give more tips for use in the future!
We use this list various ways...
- sometimes the kids and youth can read the books THEMSELVES
- sometimes it is best tht the books are read in small portions- they can be scheduled reading throughout the school year....a few weeks for each book is recommended for upper grammer age through dialectic.
- training is best accomplished in our opinion..... when the teacher/parent reads atleast some portion and has a spirit-led discussion about what has been read

The Finger of God
This video is an amusing documentary on the supernatural. It shows many things including God moving miraculously thru young people in US, the underground church in China, miracles in Mozambique, and other countries.
Jesus Camp
Another documentary that chronicles Kids in Ministry International for a year.....it is primarily to be watched TOGETHER. It is a good glimpse of kids truly engaging with God, crying out to Him with abandon. It is also very controversial due to severe criticism of Becky Fisher and the christians featured in the film.....they are accused of being TOO radical for Jesus. One of the families in this film are clearly HOMESCHOOLERS.....GOTTA LOVE THOSE RADICAL HOMESCHOOL FAMILIES SOLD OUT FOR JESUS!!

"The Case For a Creator" - Lee Strobel
"Off My Case" - Lee Strobel
This series is Christian Apologetics on an easy to digest level. There are also other titles with "teen and adult" level strategies to help defend the faith of Jesus Christ.
THE SUPERNATURAL
Open My Eyes Lord - Gary Oates
This is an interesting account of the authors' journey into a supernatural life wth God. He had a vivid experience with God that opened his eyes to God's angels...the interview on "Its Supernatural" highlights his encounter discussed in the book. The video itself impacted one 12yo so much she wrote us a testimony (see testimonies tab).
"The Heaveny City" - Patricia King
A children's ilustrated book that is very powerful. It is an account of a kid who gets to visit heaven and describes the wild, fun and sobering trip he went on. Kids really enjoyed this one.
3rd Heaven, Angels and...Other Stuff - Patricia King
Another good book for understanding God and the supernatural....this humorous book is great for youth and adults. It is also a fun choice to read in exerpts to younger kids.
GOD'S POWER & HIS PEOPLE
"Under God" - Toby Mac
A good book about ways God showed his power during the American Revolution to people on both sides.
"Living Under God" - Toby Mac
A companion devotional to Under God.
"Jesus Freak" - dc talk

MISSIONS
"There is Always Enough" - Heidi Baker
This impactful book, written in an easy-to-read-and-teach-from format....has lots of testimonies and stories depicting unique miracles, as well as everyday provision and faithfulness of God on the mission field. Iris Ministries finds and cares for orphans and plants churches all throughout Mozambique and surounding nations as well as other locations in the world.
